This album originally was intended for release in the late eighties.  Alas, it never was, and remained shelved until 1999, whan it was released, albeit only in Japan.

The band itself consisted of Bruce Gaitsch on guitars, Tommy Funderburk (Airplay, Boston) on vocals, Kelly Keagy from Night Ranger on drums and vocals, and finally George Hawkins Jr. (Kenny Loggins, John fogerty) on bass and vocals.  They were managed by Alan Kovac, Richard Marx’s manager at the time.  But after the album was recorded, but prior to the release itself, due to personal problems between the manager and the band, Kovac quit, and the result was that Chrysalis backed out of the deal, which is why at that time the album was not released. Listening to the album brings back memories to the late eighties.  It’s that typical AOR sound, which in those days you’d hear a lot on the American radio stations, and occasionally also in Europe.
So if you like this type of laid back AOR music, you shouldn’t miss this album.  It’s very hard to pick just one favorite song, as they all sound good.  Tommy Funderburk does a great job as vocalist, but do not underestimate the effort both Kelly and George put in their songs. A great album, which, had it been released back then, might have been very successful.
