Band: Haemorrhage
Title: Hospital Carnage
Label: Relapse Records
Distribution: Rough Trade Benelux.
Release date: May 24th 2011
Review: CD
Attention fans of splattering Goregrindeathmetal from the earliest days: Spanish horde Haemorrhage return with another collection of blood-spilling, blood-spitting filth.
Hospital Carnage isn’t renewing at all; yet the average quality of the songs has bettered a lot. More cohesive, a better sound, and less heard-it-before elements. Not original, a bit inspired and influenced by acts like Carcass, Impetigo, Repulsion, Impaled and Exhumed yet unfortunately this time not as enthralling… I won’t say the band was ‘original’ in the past (think other Spanish combos like Suffocation, Decomposed, Avulsed and related sweeties), but this time I seem to have heard each single piece before in one way or another. Luckily the performance is all right, yet nothing more than that either.
Only for goregrinders who like to eat their (human) meat raw and bloody…
75/100
