CD REVIEW Lunglust

Band: Lunglust
Album title: s/t
Label: unsigned
Distributor:  /
Release date: 20/10/2010
Release: MCD

Hailing from the Mecca of hardcore and punk music, a magical place which is called Boston, Lunglust has released their very first self-released MCD. The album contains four powerful tracks which immediately make me wonder why I haven't heard of this band before.
The first track, Broken Idols, is drenched with power and aggression. The first band it makes me think of is Cursed, The Hope Conspiracy or even our very own German Ritual. Family Crest, the second song on the album, continues where Broken Idols stopped. There is a bit more melody in this song, but never loses its anger and wrath. Silent Hymn also starts very fast, but in the middle of the track, the band slows down a bit, which makes this a very distinctive song. The last song definitely is the hardest song of all four.
Altogether, the most beautiful aspect of the entire album is the emotions which can be heard throughout the songs. Not only in the lyrics and vocals, but as well in the music. Lunglust really is a band to look out for, believe me.

88/100
