Malison rogue is yet another new band that emerges from the Swedish metal scene.  Having started under the monicker Ashes they built a good fan base.  After having performed at the Swedih Rock Festival, they changed their name to Malison Rogue, and cut a deal with Swedish label Inner Wound Recordings.  They entered the studio with producer Mats Léven (ex Yngwie Malmsteen, Therion) to record their debut album.
As far as their musical style is considered, I would call it a mix between Avantasia, Fates Warning, Queensryche, and even some Iron Maiden thrown in as well.

As you could guess, since I’m a fan of all aforementioned bands, I like Malison Rogue quite a lot.  Top that of with a very good producer, and a vocalist who despite not being a Bruce Dickinson or Tobias Sammet clone, delivers a very good performance, you might guess that this album is greatly appreciated.

Definitely a band to look out for in the future.
