Where have these guys been hiding?  I’d never before heard of this band, yet they released their first album in 1999, and this ‘The Ghost You Gave To Me’ is their sixth album.

I’ve been thinking about which other band I could compare them to, to no avail, I’m afraid. They have a very unique sound.  For instance the guitars – not always of course – sound asif they’re not played with a plectrum, but as if they’re slapped. 

The music itself is also pretty difficult to describe.  It has progressive influences, that’s for sure, but it’s clear they have other influences as well.  At times the music gets a darker vibe, yet at the same time the overall feeling of the album is rather jubilant.  The songs are also very varied, which makes that the album at no time gets boring.
