Band : Fergie Frederiksen I guess the title for this album was not chosen haphazardly, since Mr. Frederiksen was diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer, yet he refused to sit down and let his illness get him, and sought every possible means he could to recover, in which, it seems, he succeeded. During this time however he still found the energy to collaborate with Jim Peterik (ex Survivor), and once the songs were written, recorded the album, which was produced by Dennis Ward. Mr. Ward not only produced it, but also played bass guitars, guitars and keyboards, as well as singing some background vocals. What must be said is that this is an excellent AOR album. In one song you seem to hear Toto, while in another song it’s just as if you’re listening to Journey – Steve Perry era. Of course, since Jim Peterik was involved, you also get hints of old school Survivor. A very good album, and may the road be long for Mr. Frederiksen. 96/100 Erik Morren. |
