Funeral for a Friend is a Welsh Emo/screamo punk band, from Wales, UK and was formed in 2001 when the bands singer left the original band line up and Matt Davies took his place. It was also at this moment that they took their current band name that they credited the Elton john song for.

Since then, the band has release 1 EP, 4 studio albums, secured their first Kerrang award for "Best UK Newcomer", doing the warped tour and many more. But at what cost, most of the original line up changed over the years and went from one record label to another and finally worked its way towards Roadrunner Record with whom they joined forces release their new album called “Welcome Home Armageddon”. Fans will be pleased with this one. Where the previous album sounded to harsh and forced, this album goes the other way. This record is more emo with melodic elements than the previous. Don’t get me wrong, there are still lots of screams and everything you like about the band, but this time it seems like they made it for a wider audience.

74/100
