Coordinates of Confusion is the new album by the Slovenian thrashers of Negligence. Some might describe these guys as one of the most promising of the up and coming metal bands of the century, there isn’t really much to say about this album. Coordinates of Confusion is just one of these albums that brings up words such as ‘average’, ‘quite’, ‘just’, etc. Nothing really new, nothing really surprising. We get to hear some quality songs such as Mind Decay, Addicted to Aggression and Insane Asylum, but it’s all not that amazingly refreshing. This release is quite listenable, certainly taking into consideration the convincing vocals and tight thrash melodies and, luckily enough, Negligence doesn’t prove their name worthy. What I find quite disturbing however, is the tough fact that none of the songs on Coordinates of Confusion never really touched me while listening. There’s no real creativity nor variation to make me want to go wild. It’s just thrash metal, nothing more, nothing less.
