Searching For Calm is a Polish band that knows no genre. They switch from styles in their songs without doubt and they have various resources of different elements and genres from which they handpick from in a bizarre way. About the band is little known as they have no real website, but when you hear their record you quickly understand that this probably is going to be more of an underground band due to its strange genre it belongs to.
Metal, pop, funk techno,…..every known genre to mankind can be found on this record and even in every song of them. Witch in one way is fun because you never have a dull moment or one super riff that they use to much for its own good, but on the other side it doesn’t give you much space to breathe and can give you a serious headache as this kind of music (or album) definitely wont be for everyone.
The band compares itself to “The Mars Volta” and “ The Dillinger Escape Plan” a strange combination but a correct one. Never a dull moment with this one witch is a bit of a contradiction with their band name. An interesting record, but if that’s a good thing or a bad thing ill let you decide, but to be honest it has cool riffs and passages on it, with epic highlights. Downside is to much changes between genres.
76/100
