Since the beginning, movies and music have always been a perfect match together. When applying this formula to specific genres, no one will disagree that metal and horror are a match made in heaven. AfterParty Massacre (a movie written by Kristoff and Kyle Severn) brings it all together. Yes this is a collection of songs for an upcoming movie.
Since the movie still isn’t on the big screen, very little is known about it. The story so far goes about live performances by Acheron and Incantation. During the show they encounter a mysterious female fan that becomes a bloodthirsty killer.
Soundtracks were delivered by various death and industrial metal bands like: Incantation, 16volt, Ventana,…. I’m not a big fan of death metal, and this album just makes those feelings stronger. But this time it’s not the fault of the genre but more of the production level of this record. The sound and mixing quality of this record is just poorly, not even close to a good product. It’s heavy, brutal, lots of variation,…. But such a low quality overal.
59/100
