CD REVIEW Wilco

Band: Wilco
Album title: The Whole Love
Label: Anti Records – Epitaph Records
Distributor: PIAS
Release date: 26/09/2011
Release: CD

Although Wilco might sound unknown to many people who are into rock music, Wilco has already released seven studio album. The Whole Love is their eight full album since the release of Wilco (The Album) in 2009.
The Whole Love contains everything you would expect and wouldn't expect from a rock band. Of course there are guitars and drums involved, but even other instruments such as synthesizers, keyboards, loops, ... are present.
Another remarkable thing about this album is that it kicks off with a seven-minute song, called Art Of Almost and ends with a twelve-minute song, One Sunday Morning. In between, you can find ten 'normal-lengthened' songs.
With their eight release, Wilco proves to have earned that special spot in the rock genre. You've just got to love The Whole Love. Don't forget to check them out on their upcoming European tour. They will play two shows in The Netherlands. One in Utrecht and one in Tilburg on the 13th and 14th of November.
