What to think of this album ?  I had quite a hard time with this, the fourth album by this American band.
The reason why it was a difficult birth to write a review is mainly that it is hard to pinpoint this album to a certain style or type of hard rock or metal.

This is as a matter of fact the first time I hear an album by this band, so I cannot tell whether or not is is any different from it’s predecessors.  What immediately struck me was that it was rather melodical, and that the vocals by Dennis Lee were very good, although I was surprised when I went to the bands website to find out that is was a man, but what I found didn’t fit into the picture at all, were the occasional grunts and growls, although other people might think this is what makes the band special.
This concept album was based on Dante Alighieri’s ‘Inferno’, so as you can guess it’s not all sun, joy and happiness, rather on the contrary.

Now is this an album that could be classified under metal or hard rock?  I doubt it.  Rather call it alternative rock, with influences from metal and/or hard rock.
Not really my cup of tea, this band/album.  A few songs are not bad, but I had a real hard time having to listen to the album from start to finish.

60/100
