I don’t think these two singers need any introduction.  Nevertheless, here’s a short history.

Bobby Kimball is famous for his work with Toto.  He’s the singer with whom they recorded hits like ‘Rosanna’, ‘Hold The Line’. Besides working with Toto, he’s done countless performances as background vocalist on albums of diverse artists.  He also released a few solo albums, but nowadays, since Toto isn’t active anymore he gives vocal advice via his website.

Jimi Jamison on the other hand is most famous for his work with Survivor, with whom he recorded, among other songs, one of their biggest hits ‘Is This Love?’.  He’s also done countless jobs as background vocalist, as well as releasing solo albums.  Oh, and did I mention that he started his career in the eighties in two other bands, Target and Cobra.

Now how about this album.  These two, as always, deliver a very good  vocal performance.  The music itself is good AOR, as might be expected with songwriters like Richard Page (Mr. Mister), Jim Peterik (Survivor), Randy Goodrum (Steve Perry, Toto), John Waite and others.

I personally like the album very much, except the more balladesque stuff.  Musically I find this album tends more towards Survivor  than towards Toto, but fans of either band should not hesitate and buy this album.

95/100
