Metal band making machine Sweden spews forth another melodic heavy metal band. This time the band is called “Enbound”. The Band started out in 2006. At that time, they recorded a 10 song counting demo, and it took them until last year to finally make a steady line up. But this year, marks the year that they crashed into the metal scene and released their first studio album called “And She Says Gold”.
The strength of this album lies within its diversity. The album has a wide song selection covering different “genres”. One time you could be listening to a typical heavy metal song with all the typical riffs, solo’s and vocals like “Iron Maiden”, but the next moment you could be listening to a catchy poppy metal ballade.
Although lots of different elements on this debut disc, it misses a certain strength and sound of its own to set itself apart from other bands. It’s definitely not a bad record, certainly not for a debut album, but it probably will get lost between the so many others in this genre that are just as good, but just release an album in an age of saturation.
