Norway has always been one of the main cradles of high quality metal, pushing every single genre to its paramount. Communic is no exception to that rule, for, in addition, they successfully succeed in combining multiple genres. Doing so, they have been able to create this wonderful mixture of power, melodic and progressive metal. On their latest album, The Bottom Deep, they decided to continue to follow this path and for the best.

Each and every song on The Bottom Deep shows an enormous complexity that can be rediscovered every time you let the album blast out of your speakers. None of the nine songs loses its grip on the heaviness of this record, which is only to be applauded. From the very first tunes of "Facing Tomorrow" till the final notes of the title track we are treated to some of the best progressive metal I have heard so far. Especially "In Silence With My Scars" absolutely shows what Communic has become. The band proves to be worth the attention it deserves and much more than that.

With The Bottom Deep, Communic will create a true nuclear blast in the world of all metal genres.

95/100
