Machine Head is just one of these bands who keep releasing the one masterpiece after the other. Believe me, it's not easy to continue doing this. For these convincing and trustworthy Metal giants however, this appears to be one of the easiest thing to do, for with the first single of the record to come, Locust has become exactly what we have all been waiting for, if not even more. This truly is everything a true metal track should represent.

"Locust"; takes off with some clean guitars that gradually lead us to a metallic field of darkness and Machine Head mystery. The drums kick in and are followed by the guitars and a majestic bass rumble while quite quickly, everything explodes when Phil Demmel's and Robb Flynn's guitars kick in in perfect harmony. This seven-minute-long track is one of the most impressive songs Machine Head has ever delivered to this world of metal. The real power is to be found in the chorus, which will surely turn huge venues and festival fields into one big pit of madness.
With "Locust", Machine Head have just treated to what we all needed: a Metal energy mix!
