Band: Revilers Nowadays, when you speak to kids about punk, they immediately refer to bands such as Rise Against and Green Day, but those kids forget about the most important aspect of punk: the origin of this musical genre, which is the dirtiest gutter of the street you’ll ever find. Revilers is such a band which finds its origin in those dirty, muddy, slimy gutters. This band tries to revive the sound of great punk bands such as UK Subs, Last Resort, … From the first song on, “Isolation”, it’s very clear that Revilers won’t settle with taking prisoners. They are in for the kill. The rough vocals and the not too difficult guitar tunes and drums make this music so typically … beautiful. I Was High On Life, Then I Built Up A Tolerance definitely is worth checking out if you are into British-sounding raw punk music, but of course it is not very refreshing and renewing. Revilers is just doing something other bands started decades ago. But still, we can shout: up the punx ! 71/100 Nick Tronckoe. |
