Release date: 08/04/2011
Release: CD-EP

After the breaking up of Accept in 1987, U.D.O. (German heavy metal band) was founded by lead singer Udo Dirkschneider. Since then he released a total of 12 studio albums, to which now number 13 is added. "Infected" is the The first ’sample’ of U.D.O.’s album (that has been already in stores for a while) that had two non-album tracks, one remix and one live recorded song at Moscow in 2008.

But fans of Udo don’t have to wait any longer, after 2 long years the new EP is finaly/already out since last week and is already teasing everyone for a new album. And I can assure you that this is awesome music. Lots of killer Accept-like rhythm and exploding sing-along chorus. There is a lot of guitar work here adding depth to the album. The songs have an up-to-date sound that after all these years characterizes U.D.O.’s musical identity and this is exactly what amazes me with this band. Fresh ideas are blended in the 80’s sound we all love and miss these days.

This is music that when you see it live played, you want to sing with, bang your heads to and raise your fists/devil horns to. The only downside is that it’s just a short EP

95/100
