Death was an American death metal band founded in 1983. The band's founder, Chuck Schuldiner was considered the pioneer in the death metal genre. At a certain time, a music biographer has referred to Schuldiner as the "Father of Death Metal". The band ceased to exist after Schuldiner died cancer in 2001.
Death was considered one of the most influential bands in metal. The band's debut album has been described as "death metal's first archetypal document" and "the first true death metal record ". One thing is certain, the man and the band will never be forgotten for it’s achievements.
To make sure they never get forgotten, the label they were under (Relapse Records) released a remastered, remixed and repackaged (and containing lots of extra tracks) version of one of their best albums (Human). All supervised by Jim Morris to make sure you don’t get just an album. You get a piece of history, 2 times (normal tracks + instrumental tracks + demo’s +…).
This isn’t an album you can’t go wrong with. It’s a piece of history, a classic, something you must have listened to at least once.
