Escape Velocity is a five track counting album that sees Steve Moore and A.E. Paterra under the banner of Zombi return to their roots, using synthesizers and drums to create stirring melodies and moving cadences. This dynamic duo is mostly known for their earlier efforts in the Italian horror scores.
The songs can best be described as melodic, minimalistic dance or trance or whatever the new name for this techno like genre is. Whatever the name is, half of the song on this record feels and sounds like it could be a soundtrack for a horror movie or a “being chased scene”, and the other half could be the for the ending credits.
Cool on its own but due to the lack of vocals, and variation in the often very long tracks
( 5 tracks making up together for half an hour) there wont be a lot of people that can listen to this record from start till finish and definitely wont be able to listen to this every day.
