Face to Face is an American pop punk band from California. The band was formed in 1991 by frontman. Trever Keith, and was originally known as “Zero Tolerance”. Keith had been the only constant member of the band during their years of touring and recording albums. Face to Face rose to fame with their 1994 second, featuring their radio hit “Disconnected”, was played frequently and was featured in various movies.
So the band has been around for quite a while now, and they definitely have a lot of experience considering all those tours and albums (8 in total) they released. And once again they show that experience on their latest album (number 8).
This record (called Laugh Now, Laugh Later) is actually a short one. Although it has 13 songs on it, is passes by so fast that it’s over before you realized it. Apart from that, they album can best be explained as a 50/50 album. Half of it has that garage-punk vibe going on, blasting riffs and all. On the other hand we have those pop sing a long songs that make it a bit emo. It does make a nice contrast and keeps it variated till the end.
The band definitely stands strong on its own, and will surely appeal to fans that have followed Face To Face’s musical progression since the beginning.
86/100
