Coming forth from the Waasland, is I Inside. A band that consist of longtime friends Mario (drums) and Jacques (bass). It started in 2007 when the 2 friends got hit by the idea to form a metal band that would combine the best parts of all the metal genres. Not much later the lead guitar spot was filled. Bene, not a stranger to the same local beer supplier, was soon solicited and joined forces.
At that point the band mainly restricted itself to playing covers to sharpen their skills, and to pick all of their favorite elements. Later on Tom was drafted to add an additional rhythm guitar player, and from then on the band went on to make their own music. But it wasn’t until the beginning of 2009, when they started to search for a singer and found one in Kris. He quickly provided the songs with lyrics and vocals.
These fellows released a very short demo (4 songs), so not much to think about. Due to the fact that they all took various elements, the 4 songs on this demo all sound different. Although everyone loves it when you buy a cd and not every songs sounds the same. But in this case this short cd sounds like it’s not 1whole, like they didn’t think it trough that well. For example one moment you are listening to groove metal, the next to metalcore.
Im not a fan of it, but I’m interested in a full album. I hope they have a bigger budget then, and have more songs to make up something better than this.
