Poor me. I only got the Cd’s to review, not the CD, which contains 2 video clips as an extra.

But enough whimpered, down to the essential facts.  I don’t think I need to introduce Mr. Jorn (Lande) to you metalheads and hard rock fans out there.  He’s been around for quite some time now, singing for bands like Millenium, Arkand, and finally Masterplan, as well as doing guest performances on projects like Avantasia.  And then I’m not even mentioning the ongoing project Allen-Lande.  So you’ll all know he has one of the most powerful voices going around in the scene nowadays, and that he’s made some fine solo-albums as well.
This live CD is some sort of anthology of his 8 solo-albums, and a joy to listen to. It was recorded in 2010 at the Sweden Rock Festival in Solvesborg, where he ‘entertained’, or should you say put on fire a crowd of 20.000 enthusiast fans.

It’s really a shame no live CD ever does justice to the real performance, even if the songs are well played, and you occasionally hear the interaction between the band and the crowd, you simply cannot feel the vibes like you’d do when you were at the gig yourself.
Still, that being said, a very good show it must have been.  The rhythm section stands like a house and the two guitarists, Tore Moren and Tor Erik Myhre are playing as if their life depended on it.

The drum solo by Willy Bendiksen might be deemed superfluous these days, as it’s not that often done anymore, but the crowd seemed to enjoy it.

90/100
