Kittie is that wonderful nu metal band from Canada with four wonderful killer ladies who have once again been able to put together eleven bone hard and excellent tracks on their new album, which is called I've Failed You. The band has been out of the scene for quite some years now, but this album might just get them back on track. What's so fantastic about this album is the fact that lots of new elements are to be found in the songs. Just lend your ears to wonderfully melodramatic metal songs such as What have I done and Whisper of Death and you'll know what I'm talking about. Both songs as much darker than true Kittie fans are used to of these ladies. Not that it's a bad thing, quite the contrary. It adds something refreshing to the band's sound. Some more familiar tunes are to be discovered when listening to songs such as Time Never Heals. In this song, we can clearly hear the development the band has made. The guitars have never sounded as mature as this. Simply stunning!
The most convincing song is without any doubt the opening title track. It's very straightforward and just gives you the ultimate feeling that Kittie is back in business.
With I've Failed You, Kittie get themselves back on the metal track. These four Canadian ladies make us aware of the fact that they still count and that girlpower is stronger than ever in the metal scene. Kittie, despite this album's title, you've never ever failed me what so ever! Keep u the good music!
