Limp Bizkit is an American rock/nu-metal band from Jacksonville, Florida. The band's lineup consists of Fred Durst (lead vocals), Wes Borland (guitar), Sam Rivers (bass), John Otto (drums) and DJ Lethal. The Band was formed in 1995 and was most known with hits like “Behind Blue Eyes” or “ Rollin”. They knew success at a certain period due to the genre that was “in” at that time. Together with bands like Korn, linkin Park,…. They were all pioneers in an era where solo’s in “heavier” music wasn’t popular and singing turned into rap.
Fortunately for us (but unfortunately for them) the hype went away and music went back to what it was. At that time people who actually liked Limp Bizkit and co almost got hanged or lynched for being faithful.
But now several years later back with their latest record called “Gold Cobra”, witch is their first full-length album with their original lineup in ten years. And in the end it’s still the same band as back then, nothing new or original. Yes Fred (40years old) still likes to talk crap and insult people, although he doesn’t actually address a certain person or group with lyrics that actually don’t make sense. On one hand this does has it charms since a lot of people liked “chocolate Starfish”. But the people who liked that 10 years ago have probably grown up by now.
