CD REVIEW Ozzy Osbourne

Band : Ozzy Osbourne
Album title : Blizzard Of Ozz – re-issue
Label : Sony Music – Epic Records
Distributor : Sony Music – Epic Records
Release Date : 29/07/2011
Release : CD

Re-issue of the album originally released in 1980.  This was the first album Ozzy released after leaving, or departing form, that’s up to your interpretation, Black Sabbath. It was his first co-operation with Randy Roads, who sadly enough died in 1982, but thankfully gave us two of the best Ozzy Osbourne albums.

This album featured some of the songs that up to today I consider as a couple of Ozzy’s best songs, such as ‘Crazy Train’, ‘Mr. Crowley’, and ‘Suicide Solution’.  The guitar riff on ‘Crazy Train’ is phenomenal, and still stands like a rock after all those years.  Sadly enough there are also some minor tracks on this album, like ‘Goodbye To Romance’.
The original tracks were re-mastered, and 3 bonus tracks were added.  If you ask me, if you already own the original album, I would hesitate to buy this album, because the bonus tracks don’t seem that essential to me, except maybe the B-side track ‘You looking at me, looking at you’.

90/100
