Rawkfist is a female fronted band from Schwabach in Germany. This is the third album they’ve released so far, but I’d never heard of them before.  The name of the band would perhaps not suggest it, but their music could be called symphonic gothic metal.
As I mentioned before it is a female fronted band.  Although Sabine Hillmer is gifted with a rather nice physique, and also has a good voice, she lacks a bit of punch.  It all sounds a bit too polished, and to top it of she has a kind of vibrato in her voice which after a while starts to irritate you. Although the compositions are nice, the production could have been better, because the accent lies too heavy on the vocals and keyboards.

I’d say if you find Nightwish is too heavy for you, you might like this band.
