Pharaoh is an American Heavy metal band that was formed in 1997. Back then, the band quickly gained some success due to their technical abilities of the band members and their love for heavy metal. The band is about to release a full album, but because they are around for quite some time, they felt like celebrating.
And what better way to party, then releasing an EP. On this record, you can find 2 songs from their previous album, 2 tracks previously released only as a bonus and 2 covers being a “Slayer” cover and one from “New Model Army”.
So this is either a “fan collectors thing” or “a welcome to our music record” for people who never heard of them before. First of, I’m not really a fan of covers as the only ones that do work out can be counted on 1 hand. So I’m not really impressed with those 2 tracks. Their original songs don’t really stand out or speak out to me either. The technique is their, but the sound and vibe can hardly be found on this record.
So this is like I said, either a “fan collectors thing” or “a welcome to our music record” for people who never heard of them before. Nothing bad, but certainly nothing special in my eyes.
