Seven Witches is an American heavy metal band that comes forth from New Jersey. The band was founded in 1998 by the hands of Bobby Lucas and Jack Frost. The band released a Demo-CD in 1998, which gave them a record deal with Massacre Records with who they have a good deal/understanding as they never changed record label.
The first two albums called “Second War In Heaven” and “ City Of Lost Souls” featured vocalist Bobby Lucas. But from that point on, the band had problems holding on to a steady line up (about 15line up changes covering a total of 7 albums). But all things fell into place a couple of years ago when the band hooked up with a former vocalist James Rivera with who they reunited for a tour and a new album.
The band deliver what they promise, solid, good heavy metal but in a slightly more modern way. Unfortunately it does lack power to stand amongst others and for some songs the power to keep the listener interested. It’s not a bad record but it lack’s consistency (in songs and line up). This record also contains three live versions of the songs ‘Metal Tyrant’, ‘Metal Asylum’ and ‘Jacob’ as bonus (witch everybody does these days). However the recording quality of these tracks is beneath all standards and makes listening to a washing machine more interesting.
