Band : Sorehead Sorehead is quite a new band. Their origins are to be found in Austria, a country most certainly guaranteeing some of the finest metal bands. Sorehead however is an exception to this rule. The band is up to its first real full length album, so we give them a break, but there's still lots of work to be done before getting this band to a higher level. With Infect, they won't succeed in doing so. First of all, they should make up their minds about their genre. The band says not to be too certain whether they bring hardcore or metal core. To me, that's all the same cauldron, but just bring your music and don't make too much of a fuss about the genre you fit in! On Infect, we clearly hear that we're dealing with a true hardcore band trying to introduce some metal influences into their music, but it's just doesn't sound as good as it all should sound. Infect contains a variation of nine different tracks, despite the fact that the vocals never reach the same brutal level as the instruments. 69/100 Tim |
