Review : CD

Are you ready for some dirty motherf***ing stoner rock? Ok, so far so good. But what we get on a musical level is not bad at all and could be described as a bastard between Dozer, Fu Manchu, Queens Of The Stoneage, Soundgarden and The Hellacopters. The true influences are a lot deeper and hail from the glorious seventies, the direction they have taken, though, can be best described with the mentioned bands and gives you some ideas what Ponamero Sundown are all about. Rough and earthy riff rock it is, almost ideal to cruise through the country side.

Unfortunately, originality is not exactly the biggest strength as much, the stuff sounds familiar and reaches the ear from different sources before. Still the entertainment factor is remarkable and Rodeo Electrica definitely won't bore you. So who wants to put in a good stoner-album without much decoration, could find a good one with Ponamero Sundown.
