This newest self-titled mini-album by Murder Construct, a Grind-project with members of Impaled, Bad Acid Trip, Watch Me Burn, Phobia or Exhumed, lasts for eighteen minutes and brings nothing but deadly Terror, the rhythmic, mechanical, straight-forward, hammering and skull-crushing way. It is, in its sweetest sense, filthy and dirty, it is inhuman (anti-human?), yet all of it performed with a persuasion almost unseen. Thanks to very experienced musicians, without any doubt…!
This mini-recording combines the ulterior brutality of, let’s say, Napalm Death, Atrocity (the American one, of course), Cretin and Repulsion, with hints of Cattle Decapitation (note: Cattle Decapitation-singer Travis Ryan did the vocals on this mini-album), Brutal Truth (their most experimental compositions), or (some of) the band members’ other bands / projects (Intronaut, Phobia, Impaled), yet with lots of rather unique, ‘own’ elements, among which a very technical guitar sound and slightly progressive rhythm section.
Short but right-in-your-MF-face… Sublime stuff for a Grindcore Elite…
