Band : Sandra Dee Yet another release by Eonian Records of one of themany bands that sought fame and fortune back in the eighties, this one features Chicago’s Sandra Dee. The band name was chosen haphazardly from the lyrics of a Mötley Crüe song ‘Come on and Dance’. Now it would be wrong to think that these guys, like so many others at that time, were copying the style of bigger bands, because the music these guys play, although there are certain influences to be heard of glam/sleaze/hair metal, but this music has more of a penchant towards heavy rock, even heavy metal at some times. The sound they produce is thick, with super greasy guitar work at times. The songs all go down quite well, even if there are also some darker edges on some tracks. 85/100 Erik Morren. |
