There are very few albums over the last 30 odd years that have managed to bow me out of my socks.  I’ll cite yust a few of them : Iron Maiden – Number Of The Beast, Queensrÿche – Operation Mindcrime, Harem ScaremMood Swings, Danger Danger – Cockroach, are just a few of them. There are some other albums of course, but these immediately sprung to my mind.

Well, to be honest, this album from Swiss rockers Skansis does not completely do the same trick, but it’s very very close.  I don’t know what they put in the water in Switzerland, or is it the mountain air that does the trick but for such a small country they gave, and still are giving the world a stream of top notch rock bands.  Krokus, Shakra, Gotthard, Crystal Ball are just a few of them, but the list goes on.
I’d never before heard of this band, but this is their second album, since their 2007 debut ‘Take Your Chance’. Like many of the aforementioned Swiss bands, it is clear that they’ve listened well to AC/DC. It’s classical hard rock, but well performed, with decent songs.

I found this a very good, pleasing album that will surely find its way back to my CD player.
