The Human Abstract is an American metal band that comes forth from California. The band saw first light in 2004, and combines technical, complex, melodic and ultra heavy music elements. Digital Veil is the third studio album and was released on March 8, 2011. Digital Veil actually is a new page in the band’s chapter as it marks the return of founding guitarist A.J. Minette, who left in 2007, and the introduction of the new lead vocalist Travis Richter, who replaced former vocalist Nathan Ells.
When I tried to compare this band, the only name in the same genre/league that came to me was “All Shall Perish”. And I mean that in the best way as possible. This album contains 8 tracks (various lengths) with, melodic, multi layered technical metal music goodness.
Nothing I dislike about this record except that it’s to short and keeps you longing for more. Even the production quality is top notch, witch I can imagine can’t be easy with such an avalanche of stuff that hits you in the face. This is so good, that I’m going to look up their older stuff right away
96/100
