Review : CD
The Quill are back on the music scene. Full Circle is their new album and is not a bad album. However, it's a total standard album brewing on old ideas, which have been heard many times on records. The music is heavy riff rock which I usually love, but Full Circle is a bit too simple and most of the riffs are worn out. The band is far from being just piss poor though, what we have here is average music that is a pleasant enough listen at times, it just will not be remembered a year or so down the line. The band has some good ideas, several riffs work very well, and especially the Cornell-ish vocals sounds pretty good.
Bottom line is, there are some nice moments to be found on the record, but nothing stands out or is easily forgotten, unless you are a very, very hardcore stoner riff rock fan, in which case you might find something to enjoy. For everyone else, it's listening before buying.

70/100
