Band: Dead By Wednesday In 2005 Dead By Wednesday made their first mark by releasing their debut album called Democracy is Dead. Several years later in 2008 came their long awaited full album called The Killing Project. A record that demonstrated their own approach on music making with their very own very own aggressive hybrid of metal, punk and hardcore. This not so strange combination is mixed with political themes and war. Again, not that strange to metal in general. But this is a band on a mission as front man Ceschi Ramos told. In the past the band wrote songs that focused on the violent Chilean coup led by Pinochet and several other events. The key feature of this record lies within it’s diversity. The band opted to really try different stuff out. For example different vocal harmonies, here and there some groovy tunes and various hardcore elements keeping it brutal and tight. In conclusion The Last Parade is a album that was thought over during it’s writing and recording process witch not only makes this a good record but also a metal album for a wide variety of listeners! 78/100 Jeroen. |
