Band: Grankapo Formed in 2006 in Lisboa, Portugal. Rollin Ya Headz EP in 2007 (self-released), debut full length Confessions through in 2008 (Hell Xis). A quintet (Rui-v; Ivan-d; Pedro and Miguel-g; João-b). New mini-album (26:30) including twelve tracks (intro and outro included) through Portuguese Hell Xis again. What? Thrash-injected Hardcore with a subtle Old Skool-vibe, balancing between melody / catchiness and power / brutality. A modern interpretation of, let’s say, Madball and Agnostic Front, Born From Pain and Backfire. Nothing additional to add additionally in addition… Just: so much more interesting (because of: professionalism, own aspects, great lyrical doings and much more bla and bla and even more bla), but unfortunately just a shorty collection of Punk-Thrash outbursts – craving for more in a near future? A sharp-nailed middle-finger in the haemorrhagic ass of any short-sighted would-be ‘(hard/metal)-core’-shithead, stuff for adults with a modest infantile passion for uncomplicated primitivism… 80/100 Ivan Tibos. |
