Jamey Jasta, a man with o so many projects. You may know the man’s work in the form as the frontman for the hardcore band, Hatebreed, as one half of the group Kingdom of Sorrow, or as the mastermind behind Icepick. But it doesn’t end there, he also is the proud creator of record label Stillborn, and is the owner of a clothing company called Hatewear clothing.

So he is a very present person in the metal scene. Luckily enough for fans of his music and clothing line, the man has established yet another group. For his latest endeavor he gave his own name. Jasta consists of Kingdom of Sorrow members, drummer Nick and guitarist and bassist Charlie Bellmore. And yes it sounds like Hatebreed. The record has it’s several heavy moments and of course Jamey’s voice does the rest, but it isn’t just another Hatebreed. This band /record has room for a more rock ‘n roll/ hard rock vibe and even more melodic parts. This is mostly due to the fact that he invited several guest artists like Phil Labonte, Randy Blythe, Zakk Wylde and Tim Lambesis. So you are definitely in for a metal treat.

Once again mister Jasta stands tall and strong with another musical success. Although similar to the ear if you are familiar with his work, I think he will surprise a lot of people with this record.

87/100
