Another one-man project (this time from an individual named Jacobo Cordova) Majestic Downfall play some interesting doom metal with only one fault: vocals taking influences from bands like Pantheist, old Paradise Lost, early Celestial Season, My Dying Bride and Forgotten Tomb, Cordova has created some good music on The Blood Dance. Well executed and reasonably well put together The Blood Dance features eight tracks of solid doom metal with the occasional crunching metal break interspersed. The vocals are nothing special, sticking to death growls throughout, but I found the guitar sound very interesting.. In fact, the clean, crisp distortion gives it a more European flavour, even though Cordova hails from Mexico. The thing I enjoyed most about this album was that Majestic Downfall seemed to have worked real hard to produce a very vision-like sound and image with his music. The keyboards are also occasionally used for a more atmospheric background work and generally provide more variety in the songs, which also usually feature enough tempo changes.

Majestic Downfall releases many emotions and that caters to one's imagination when hearing it.
