Band : Master Musicians Of Bukkake Dressed in a certain amount of mystique and high desert mysticism, Master Musicians of Bukkake is an amazing project that creates their own sound, although retaining appeal for fans of Secret Chiefs, Sunno, Popol Vuh, Tuatara and Material. What i love about this third Totem album besides how spiritual it is, is how dark and haunting it often is. "Bardo sidpa”, “Illuminating the ten directions” and “Reign of quantity” is very ominous with spooky sounds and various instruments. The music is sometimes illustrated by various odd sound effects, giving a psychedelic hint to the whole, like in the second song “In the twilight of Kali Yuga” which also features beautiful mystic Arabic hymns. This song alone will sweep you from your feet and set you in another world. The best song “Prophecy of the white camel/namoutarre” opens with hand clapping and percussion that are joined by fantastic vocal chants. While inconsistent, the last three songs offer some brilliant middle-eastern tinged melody lines, a somewhat effective repetitive hallucinate (though often dubious) combination of Oriental and Western music.> Totem 3 is a superb, varied and compelling album that must be owned by all.
