Band: Vader Vader… One of the oldest acts from Eastern Europe, one of the strongest acts as well from the East of Europe. Everybody knows this band, of course, for almost being three decades of age (!!!). No further biographical information, because the .net-area is filled with nonsense and no-nonsense of this shit. What I do care about, and you, as reader, probably as well, is this new full length. I first thought it would be some compilation: a title with ‘morbid reich’ in it; remember (of course) their KULT-demo?!!! Anyway, Peter Wiwczarek created / developed a sound rather unique in the past, influential throughout the past and the present, and of undeniable importance to the future, and it’s called Vader. No more contractual obligations with Regain Records anymore, ultra-major Nuclear Blast instead… No renewing elements, yet the cleanest definition of Death Purity Metal, like it has always been the case: melodic, timeless, uncompromising, brutal and brain-f*cking sonic -terror! Not ground-breaking, but boundless…!... I can go on for hours, like I can listen to this crap for hours as well. But I need to say: don’t expect something original. But do you want to? I do not. This stuff is the core of the scene, these creations are compositional highlights without anything in surplus, yet certainly with all aspects that do define the purest essence of real, true, honest Death Metal. Besides ‘objective’ information I will mention my personal opinion (it is MY review, so shut the f*ck …): the same stuff again, so what?! In many cases it hurts my sensitive ear drums, in Vader’s case I won’t pardon any change of approach (except the matured skills / song writing / performance). Or to keep it all very simple: you like Vader, you like this. You do not, you go to Heaven (hehe…). [and now seriously: Vader sometimes did a little better in the past (I, personally, am obsessed by their eighties-period, and the efforts this band did during the first years of this newest millennium), but still they remain on top of the Polish Death Metal-scene in ALL aspects! – for sure] 88/100 Ivan Tibos. |
