Band: Lumine Criptica
Title: Fading Into Darkness
Label: own
Distribution: Alkemist Fanatix
Release date: 2010
Review: CD
Argentina’s Lumine Criptica are a so-called ‘female fronted’ band – f*ck this description; this band performs Gothic / Death Metal with a female lead vocalist and additional (male) grunts. Done…
‘done’… If only… If only it were done…
What’s wrong? Too much to mention. A pathetic lack of originality with predictable song structures and tons of clichés, an average performance, an inferior mix, and those vocals… I don’t care people singing false, yet in this case it is painful.
Even the lyrical approach lacks of authenticity…
Pros: the duration (half an hour) and the artwork.
(and indeed some smaller parts, like most intros, are acceptable, yet that’s it).
Disappointing! Boring! Waste of my time…
35/100
