"Deadend in Venice" was formed In 2008 in Germany, all consisting of members that know each other since their childhood. Who all had the plan to head straightforward and combine melodic death metal with female clean vocals. After two demo-recordings, when in 2008 and '09 and when they started work on their first album in 2010, that dream was a step closer.
A good, fun and maybe even an original idea, But unfortunately it doesn’t work out in this case. The death metal vocals of Litzba doesn’t always sit that great with the clean female voice of Klein. Her voice is just too soft for this genre and makes a to big contrast with the growls. Those growls in their own right sound forced and sound more like a hooligan screaming at a sports event than a making up for a good vocalist.
Instrument wise, the band knows how to play and has potential. But making music like this doesn’t really impress me or anyone else. But considering these lads and girl are still on the young site, they could still grow and fine-tune their idea. Let’s wait and see the future brings.

67/100
