Band : Electric Boys This Swedish and enjoyed some success in the late eighties, early nineties, but by the time their second album came out around 1992, grunge was at it’s peak and their success dwindled. They held on till ’94, when they release a third album, but not long thereafter they called it a day, giving a last farewell concert in their hometown Stockholm. In 2009 the band reunited, and after playing numerous gigs and festivals, and releasing a ‘Best Of” album this is their first album with new material. The band still plays the same style of music, kick-ass rock’n’roll with lots of funky influences. This is a mix of pure hard rock, with some 60ies and 70ies psychedelic influences, with also some glam influences and some funk thrown in as well. You must give this album a try, it’s something out of the ordinary. 90/100 Erik Morren. |
