Re-issue of the original 1981 album ‘Diary Of A Madman’, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this album.    And do you get value for your money ?  Yes, absolutely, and especially if you’re an Ozzy fan.  The original tracks were remastered, but on top of that you get, if you buy the two disc package, 11 live tracks that were recorded during the Blizzard tour.

While Ozzy is still able to record some great tracks, I personally find his older work better.  Be it alone for the guitar sound the late Randy Roads could deliver.  This not only on the studio albums, but also live, as you’ll notice while listening to the live tracks.  Listening to the live version of Mr. Crowley, especially the intro, still gives me the creeps after all these years.
To sum it all up.  If you don’t own the original albums, and like Ozzy, go out and buy this album.  This is definitely material that has stood the test of time.
