Formed in 2009, Reason was created by the hands of ex-Vandamne/Fyrebyrds/Empire/Crywolf guitarist & songwriter Chris Gyngell and vocalist Paul Mace. The band uses elements of melodic & progressive hard rock & metal into powerful songs. Chris & Paul have recruited ex-Vandamne/Empire keyboard player Martyn Peters, bassist Graham Corbett and drummer Paul Powell to complete the line-up.
“Before The Dawn” is the bands latest digital promo single. The song on it with the same name as its title, is an eight minute song in which the band show its capabilities. The track is hard rock/metal song with progressive influences.
Because its only a single its hard to get a fair and objective view. Instrumentally its pretty good song, but the vocals on it could definitely been better and the production and remixing does have some flaws on it. It is a good song but like I said it is to little material to get a clear view about it, but with only this song I have to say I have heard better.
