According to the bibliography, Moritz was founded in 1986 in London.  I’d never heard of the band before.  This should not surprise you, as the band only released an EP and some demo’s, although they did some gigs in the Marquee in London, but since not even a minor label, let alone one of the big ones, was interested in them, they quit in 1988.
Some former members of Moritz went on to found If Only with female vocalist Tina Egan. Vocalist Pete Scallan became a member of Samson for some time, during which he sang the ‘Refugee’ album for them.

Guitarist – songwriter Greg Hart later released ‘City Streets’, an album with mostly older song material.  Since critics on this album were rather good, Greg  decided to contact his former bandmates again.  So they started writing new tracks for this album, and with a mix of older, re-recorded material and new songs this album was completed.
As far as style or genre of music is concerned, I’d say they sound like some of the bigger names from the eighties, like Boston, Reo Speedwagon or even Journey or Survivor.  Pete Scallan has just the right voice for this kind of music.

A great comeback album after all these years.  Let’s hope this is just the opener for more stuff to come.
