Band : Resando Seen as there's no additional info to be found on this Italian band besides what's in the info sheet we received along with our promo copy of their debut full-length and what's in the booklet, I have no other recourse than to base their story on those sources alone. Currently comprised of singer/ guitarist/ synthesizer handler Filippo De Asmundis, guitarist Ivan Dalla Torre, bassist Michele Ceola, and drummer Daniele Bonvecchio, Resando first had themselves heard of through the release of their self-titled debut demo, which they recorded in 2007. With their blending of the best of Depeche Mode-like Pop Rock and Nine Inch Nails electronics and Metal touch without sacrificing a recognizable trademark, the rave reviews the demo got already stressed the band's ability to ascend above the wannabe status! In 2010 the guys recorded their full-length Secrets, which pushes the band's sound to the extremes, blending electronics and atmosphere in a manner you've never heard before. Quite literally taken from the info sheet: “Resando is the feeling of regret and sadness that comes after waking up from a pleasurable dream that one wishes to have been real. A bit like the feeling we get when, after being immersed in the listening of an amazing song, it ends and we are brusquely brought back to reality. With lyrics intensily depictive of love, lust and the dark recklessness of the human soul, the band's songs wrap the listener in a storm of electronic beats, in-your-face guitars and bold orchestrations”. Sounds good, doesn't it...and the truth is, it's really all there! As roof, one needs only to surf to (www.) myspace.com/resando, and listen to the three songs posted there. Last news on the band (Nov. 2010) was that they'd relocated to London, and looking for a new drummer and guitarist. Once those are broken into the Resando mold, start looking out for gigs by this band!!! Should be well worth checking out! Originally, I wasn't intending to (I found the vocals not completely devoid of a certain accent)...but each additional listening session I gave the album made me love the band's music more and more (and feel the slight accent fitting in the whole more and more)...and I've come to the end conclusion that Secrets is a must for music fans into Alternative Electronic Rock/ Metal. Hence me putting Secrets into my year-lists! 98/100 Tony. |
