Hailing from Zurich, Switzerland, Ginger bring their brand of heavy blues rock to the table with a taste of Zeppelin, Hawkwind, Sabbath, Hendrix, the Beatles, Cream, Pink Floyd, The Who and many, many more.  Song Through Arlanda is a great vintage-album from a band with a lot to offer, yet it is also diverse enough to showcase each member’s individual talents and influences. They have dynamics in their song writing that most plug-in-and-riff retro bands lack, and aren't afraid to seemingly-float with their music. Shooting things off with the spacey “T-10” the groundwork is laid down for one varied trip in time through Arlanda. The use of trumpet sounds swinging and perfectly harmonises with the Cream/Hawkwind-ian creations dominated by guitars. “Flesh and skin” is a hypnotic 10-minute jam that flies by really quickly and it features amazing guitar work. “Raja” is both a fascinating and very cool raja-reggea-rock suite of music that never becomes boring. Though they use heavier passages, the mostly quite calm songs create an almost soothing effect. Their material is just such a passionate flow of ideas that gel with a bluesy and jazzy groove that never seems to let up.

Song Through Arlanda is an ideal way to get in touch with this yet rather unknown classic rock outfit from little Nepal which is currently working on a new live album from their Falltour 2010.
